Joey Nichols

Joey joins Capital Results following a 15-year career in fundraising and consulting. She has worked with North Carolina's leading corporate citizens, policy-makers, elected officials and candidates for public office. Her background in working on campaigns, within administrations and advising nonprofits gives her well-rounded experience in the realm of government affairs. Her success is based on her ability to develop and maintain diverse relationships that contribute to her clients’ success. Joey uses her relationships and grasp of the issues of the day to effectively promote clients’ legislative agendas before the executive and legislative branches of government.

Before joining Capital Results, Joey was the principal at The Fontaine Group, a company that specialized in promoting their clients through fundraising and marketing. In 2002 and 2004, Joey was a lead consultant for U.S. Senate candidate Erskine Bowles, today president of the University of North Carolina and former White House chief of staff. She consulted on several successful statewide campaigns and served as Deputy Finance Director in the successful campaigns of Governor Mike Easley and U.S. Senator John Edwards.

Joey has also worked with a number of non-profit organizations, including the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina, Interact of Wake County, the North Carolina Centennial First Flight Celebration and various programs within the North Carolina Department of Cultural Resources.

Joey earned a Bachelor of Arts in Art, Architecture & Design from North Carolina State University (NCSU.)
