Robert specializes in representing clients before governmental bodies, developing multi-state marketing strategies and assisting clients with regulatory and procurement issues. He is an expert on state budgetary and appropriations processes. He also assists corporations with regulatory and business issues before state agencies and commissions.
Robert served as Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor George Allen, Deputy Budget Director for the Virginia Department of Planning and Budget and Assistant Secretary of Commerce and Trade for Virginia. More recently, he was appointed to the Gubernatorial Transition Advisory Commission of Governor Mark Warner. In the private sector, he was the Director of Business Development for a major Southeastern law firm and Business Development Manager for VMS, Inc., a Richmond-based asset management company. Robert also served in the U.S. Army for 14 years in various duty assignments, including in the Office of the Secretary of Defense at the Pentagon and Assistant Professor at West Point.
Robert holds a B.S. in Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point
and Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.
