Stephanie Kane

Stephanie manages integrated communications strategies for public affairs initiatives from the local level to the national stage, representing trade associations and corporate clients in the healthcare, transportation, technology and retail industries. Her experience includes developing and leading policy and advocacy campaigns to foster public and political support, crisis management, and building and protecting organizational reputation.

Stephanie specializes in issue-based strategic planning, messaging development, media relations, grassroots and grasstops advocacy, coalition development, and special event planning. She brings a journalism and advertising background to her work, giving her a keen sense of how to portray organizational voice to various third-party audiences in the public and government relations landscapes. She also develops content for earned media, paid advertising, legislative and public outreach, social media and websites. Stephanie helps build relationships between her clients and stakeholders such as civic and business groups, advocacy organizations, non-profits, trade associations and government entities, all while moving toward strategic and public policy objectives.

A Norfolk native, Stephanie rejoined the Capital Results team in 2015 after working for a Pittsburgh advertising and marketing agency, where she handled client service, project management and account coordination, and supported the public relations team with media relations and crisis communications. She previously worked for a national public affairs company on their AT&T account in North and South Carolina, where she focused on corporate communications and media relations. While in college, Stephanie interned for an Atlanta public relations firm on their hospitality, healthcare and real estate clients and was published in a local biweekly newspaper called the Carrboro Commons. Stephanie’s varied background has given her experience in business-to-business communications, government relations, public awareness campaigns and client service.
