Clark manages comprehensive media, government and corporate relations strategies for Capital Results clients. With a background in rapid response communications, grassroots campaign building and issue advocacy, Clark brings a track record of proven experience to each new client project. His areas of focus include non-profits, energy, health care, broadband and transportation.
Clark excels at creating sophisticated external affairs strategies that get results. He is in constant communication with not just clients, but various corporate departments, government stakeholders and media outlets. He has experience working with public relations firms, trade associations and political organizations, and helping them create and implement public affairs tactics. In addition to his strategic role, he also has significant media relations experience, from publishing op-eds in The Hill and The Richmond Times-Dispatch, to getting coverage from The Colbert Report and Last Week Tonight with John Oliver.
After living and working in Washington D.C. for eight years, Clark joined Capital Results in the fall of 2015. Prior to moving to Richmond, Clark worked for Hillenby, a strategic communications firm based in Alexandria, VA where he managed client accounts and led marketing, regulatory affairs and crisis management efforts for their diverse client portfolio. During his time in the D.C. area, Clark also worked for the American Society of Civil Engineers where he served as lead media contact for the 145,000 member organization. Of note, Clark oversaw the launch of the 2013 Report Card for America’s Infrastructure, resulting in over 1,500 media mentions during launch week, and mentions from President Obama and several U.S Senators and House members. Along with time spent working as a political consultant, Clark has developed expertise in media relations, government affairs and coalition building throughout his career.
